Goodwill Employment

Employment is the most vital component of our mission at Goodwill Manasota. While other employers work to screen unqualified applicants out – we work very hard to help job seekers overcome the barriers to employment that have prevented them from achieving their dreams. We understand that disability, the lack of formal education, difficulty with the English language and other circumstances can make it hard to find a job. Our mission is to see beyond these barriers to employment and provide the training and opportunity for success.

Through our Supported JobPlus program we provide long-term, assisted employment to individuals with physical, developmental, mental and emotional barriers to a fulfilling career – as well as the opportunity to become self-sufficient. The program features reasonable workplace accommodations and access to GoodPartner coaches — Goodwill case managers who offer employment, family and personal coaching. We currently partner with Loveland Center, Ave Maria Preparatory School, Easter Seals, Manasota ARC, Community Haven, Division of Blind Services, Boley Center, Diversity Initiatives, Coastal Behavioral, Manasota Lighthouse for the Blind, the Spinal Injury Support Group, the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and both the Sarasota and Manatee County School Districts.

Goodwill Manasota is the leading mission integrated donated goods enterprise for neighbors and friends who seek leadership and professional jobs. We help to provide a challenging and stimulating fast-paced work environment. Goodwill has become the employer of choice for many gifted and talented professionals who seek a rewarding and fulfilling career – but also want to help those less fortunate. Goodwill combines a rewarding career with competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefit program and the opportunity for professional and personal growth.
