INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can crescent dough sheet or 8 crescent rolls

  • 1 lb. lean (at least 80%) ground beef

  • ¾ cup salsa

  • Taco seasoning mix (to taste)

  • 1 (8 oz.) block of cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Spray 9 x 11 dish with cooking spray. Use the dough to cover the bottom of the pan and up sides to form a crust—Bake for seven minutes.

  3. In a 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring until thoroughly cooked; drain.

  4. Spoon meat mixture into a crust-lined pan; sprinkle with cheese.

  5. Bake for 14 to 17 minutes or until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  6. Served topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and sour cream if desired.

  7. *Can also add refried beans as a layer under the meat mixture.
