Community Invests in Local Heroes: Goodwill’s Veterans Services Program Receives $17,500 Boost

The spirit of Veterans Day is alive and well in our community, and this year, that spirit translated into powerful, tangible support for the heroes who have served our nation. Goodwill Manasota is thrilled to announce that our Veterans Services program received generous contributions totaling $17,500 from two esteemed community partners: Benderson Development and the Rotary Club of Longboat Key.

These donations, made during heartfelt Veterans Day events, will directly fuel our mission to provide comprehensive support, career training, and vital resources for veterans and their families in the Bradenton and Sarasota area.

A Grand Parade & A Generous Gift

The community celebrations began on November 8 at the Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade at UTC. Our team, joined by our mascot GoodWilly, was proud to be part of the festive atmosphere. In a moment that truly captured the event’s spirit, Benderson Development presented Goodwill Manasota with a $10,000 donation dedicated solely to empowering local veterans through our services.

A Ceremonial Check for a Critical Mission

We continued to honor military service at the Town of Longboat Key’s Veterans Day and 70th Anniversary Celebration. In a moving ceremony at Town Center Green, the Rotary Club of Longboat Key presented a $7,500 check to Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program. Our dedicated Career Development Facilitator, Randy Wright, was on hand to accept the contribution on behalf of the countless veterans his team assists.
