Goodwill opens Salerno ADC in Stuart

New attended donation center will increase donor convenience and support the mission-integrated operations of Goodwill Industries of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast

STUART, Fla. – On May 9, Goodwill Industries of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast (GIPB) opened a new attended donation center (ADC) in Stuart. With this new location, Goodwill will enhance donor convenience, support growth in the area, and advance the nonprofit organization’s mission of “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.”

The Salerno ADC (3320 SE Salerno Rd., Stuart, Unit 3334) has created three new full-time jobs; hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

“At Goodwill, we are immensely grateful to donors for providing their gently-used items: the average donation funds more than three hours of job training and opportunities, directly helping individuals to build job skills and achieve economic stability,” said Donn Githens, President and CEO of GIPB. “By donating, community members are supporting our efforts to help our neighbors build brighter futures.”

ADCs play a crucial role in supporting Goodwill’s mission-integrated donated goods operations. Each donation of gently-used goods dropped off at a Goodwill ADC or store serves as the fuel that powers thousands of hours of on-the-clock education and job training, in addition to job and life coaching through Goodwill’s award-winning GoodPartner Coach program. GIPB’s programs and services benefit those with barriers to stable employment, including individuals with disabilities, veterans, older adults, and those who have been justice-involved.

Additionally, Goodwill’s operations help to divert items from area landfills; in 2024, over 48 million tons of donated goods were diverted from landfills in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast region.
